The Triton School Board members took action this week to adjust pay for substitute teachers, according to Superintendent Jeremy Riffle.
Riffle stated, “If a substitute teacher has a license, they get $110 now. If they have 60 credit hours they get $100, and if they have their high school diploma it’s $90 a day. Also, status quo teacher contracts were approved before we go into bargaining September 15.”
Additionally, the school board adopted the Teacher Appreciation Grant.
“We adopted the Teacher Appreciation Grant so when the State approves that and sends that to schools it allows us to immediately turn that around and give that to our teachers if they’re rated effective or highly effective.”
