Cemetery Superintendent Michael Collins updated the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety (BPWS) that after he reviewed the submitted quotes, he proceeded to order two Columbariums at $18,030.00 each from The Remembrance Centre while still remaining within the $50,000 budget allowing financial room to do the foundation work and sidewalks.
The Columbariums each have 48 niches to hold cremation urns for a total between both units for 96 final resting places. The first Columbarium has been in place for approximately ten years with 72 niches remains. Collins informed the board that cremation is on the rise.
