Bridge work is starting this week in Marshall County.
The bridge replacement project on Queen Road north of 1st Road has begun with no thru traffic allowed. The road will be closed up to 60 days in order to complete the project.
Bridge repair work will begin Wednesday, August 10 which will cause the closure of 17th Road east of Hickory Road and Filbert Road in Argos. Thru traffic will be restricted for approximately two weeks until repairs can be made.
Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters encourages drivers to take caution while traveling in these areas as alternate routes of travel are determined.
In addition to bridge work, highway crews will be chip sealing several roads this week.
Work will be done on Olive from 16th to 14B, Pine from State Road 10 to 19th, and 14B from Nutmeg to Olive.
Peters urges drivers to use caution when traveling these roads as there will be loose stone, oil and tar.
