Students in the Argos Community School Corporation who may be less fortunate will benefit by a generous donation accepted by the Argos School Board.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said the school board approved the reception of meals from Cultivate Meal Service.
“Cultivate Meal Service is through Notre Dame and Four Winds Casino with organization by Notre Dame. This is leftover food from all of the events at these places that was actually being thrown away. They flash freeze this food and put it in microwave packages for needy kids. We will be delivering that each Friday to needy families and getting the meals through Cultivate. Sequel Wire and Ameri-Can Engineering have donated for us to do that and get it to our needy children.”
Additionally, the Argos Lions Club donated $1,500 for the Argos students that worked the fair booth. Speicher said that money will go into the Student Activities account.
The board accepted both donations presented Monday night.
