South Bend Man Arrested, Juvenile Detained after Theft Investigation in Plymouth

A South Bend man was arrested and a juvenile was detained Wednesday, June 29 after a theft investigation by the Plymouth Police Department.

Plymouth Police officers were called to the Bellmart BP on North Michigan Street just before 1 a.m. ET on a report of theft. 

Police say 19-year-old Anthony D. Figueroa was located at the scene, along with a juvenile. An investigation led to the arrest of Figueroa on preliminary charges of theft and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, according to the report.   He was transported to the Marshall County Jail.

A juvenile was detained on preliminary charges of theft, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, and resisting law enforcement.  The juvenile was taken to the Plymouth Police Department and later released to parents. 

Figueroa has since bonded out of the Marshall County Jail on a cash bond.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
