After more than two decades of serving Plymouth and Marshall County the Bread of Life Community Food Pantry now officially owns their building! This momentous event was cause for celebration on Saturday, June 25th.

Prior to ownership of their 5000 square foot facility located at 6770 N. Michigan Road in Plymouth, they were engaged in either a rental agreement or land contract for the past five years with Ver-Tex Enterprises.

The pantry is feeling very thankful and blessed for the bountiful provision that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has bestowed upon them. He has sustained and provided for Bread of Life in ways unimaginable.

Pantry officials and volunteers would like to thank all of those churches, civic organizations, local businesses and individuals for the prayers, donations and help provided to make this all possible.

No matter what level of contribution was made it was appreciated and blessed by God. Everyone who was involved played a critical role.

We would be remiss if we did not take a moment to publicly thank Mr. Rick Vermillion of Ver-Tek Enterprises for his leadership and benevolent support of our mission to help others in our community.

His help and support was crucial to our success. The Bread of Life Community Food Pantry began its mission to help people in the community over twenty years ago by humbly getting its start in a now defunct small local church.

It has since grown to its current size because of its belief in trusting the Lord for its own provision.

The guiding principles are to serve those who come through the doors with a spirit of Christ- like love that maintains the dignity, self-respect and privacy of those we serve.

In the end we are trying to be the hands and feet of the God we serve.
