U.S. 30 Resurfacing Project Underway between State Road 17 and State Road 19

A resurfacing project is underway on U.S. 30 between State Road 17 (Michigan Road) and State Road 19 in Marshall County. The project will continue through late October.

The Indiana Department of Transportation has contracted with Rieth-Riley Construction Co. for the project that will be done in several phases.  INDOT officials say traffic shifts and alternating lane closures will be needed to facilitate the work, but traffic will be maintained with at least one lane in each direction at all times.

Additionally, intermittent ramp closures are anticipated at the interchange with U.S. 31 which will be limited to two days at a time.  For approximately two days starting on or after Thursday, June 9, the ramps from eastbound U.S. 30 to northbound and southbound U.S. 31 will be closed, as well as the ramp from northbound U.S. 31 to eastbound U.S. 30.

INDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time when driving through this area and follow traffic directions carefully. Motorists should slow down, exercise caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
