The Triton School Board members approved an increase in wage for the Classified staff last week, according to Superintendent Jeremy Riffle.
“We increased our hourly Classified wages by $2.00 an hour, our bus driver wages by $6.00 a day, our salaried staff wages, and these are Non-Certified, Non-Director by $1,500,” stated Riffle. “We will have a very good negotiations coming up in September for our teachers as well so we’re pretty excited about that.”
The board also took action to extend the Social Worker and Administrative Assistant contracts. The administrator staff contracts were also extended for two years. Riffle said the contract amounts were not adjusted.
“We never negotiated their contracts until after we negotiate our teacher contracts to make sure that we’re being fair to everybody at the same time.”
