The Triton School Board members took action to approve breakfast and lunch prices for the upcoming school year.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said the school has not charged for meals for the last two years due to the pandemic.
“This year we were actually encouraged to increase those prices, but we felt, especially with everything else going on and the increases, we just felt like we didn’t want to do that this year,” commented Riffle. “We actually kept our student lunch prices the same this school year. We’ll have to obviously look at that later because of costs and commodity prices being up, but this year we kept those status quo.”
The breakfast price at the Elementary School is $1.20 and lunch is $2.20. At the High School, breakfast is $1.35 and lunch is $2.60.
