A Plymouth man was arrested Thursday, May 5 after a single vehicle accident.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the area of Olive Trail and Dixon Lake Trail for the accident that occurred at approximately 6 a.m. ET. Officers reportedly found a blue 2002 Honda Civic that had gone off of the roadway and into a guard rail and utility pole.
Police say the driver, Michael J. Fischer, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Field sobriety testing and a certified blood draw were completed which allegedly showed Fischer to be over four times the legal limit of alcohol.
Fischer was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more. He has since bonded out of the Marshall County Jail on a cash bond.
