Four people were arrested Tuesday after operations were conducted by the Marshall County Police Narcotics Team.

The Team, along with Argos Police Department officers, located and arrested Argos resident, Janie Howard, on an outstanding warrant for two Level 4 Felony counts of dealing in a narcotic drug.  She is being held at the Marshall County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

Officers later conducted a traffic stop and found Arista Butcher, of Warsaw, wanted on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.  Officers allegedly located hypodermic needles and suspected heroin in the vehicle.  She is being held in the Marshall County Jail on the warrant and new charges.  Indiana State Police K9 Chase assisted during the traffic stop.

Another traffic stop was later conducted on U.S. 30 at U.S. 31 where Marshall County K9 Diesel was utilized.  During a subsequent search of the vehicle, police say over 60 grams of suspected methamphetamine was found, along with suspected heroin and a handgun.  Christopher Vaughn of Elkhart and Justin Poppe of South Bend were arrested on preliminary Level 2 Felony charges of dealing in methamphetamine.  They are being held in the Marshall County Jail with no bond.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
