Several roads in Argos will get new pavement next week when crews from Milestone Contractors North arrive to complete the paving projects awarded grant funds in the Indiana Department of Transportation’s Community Crossings Matching Grant Program.
Utility Superintendent Jamie Lindstrom said several roads will be worked on including West Street from South to Broadway, Williams from Michigan to Lincoln, Second Street from South to Broadway, Smith Street from Michigan to North Maple, Church Street from Michigan to North Maple, Kenilworth from State Road 10 to the railroad tracks, and Syndey Street, Logan Street, and Access Road.
The total cost of the project is $867,237.97 with grant funds totaling $650,428.48. The town’s match is $216,809.49.
