Bremen Police Chief Brad Kile updated the Bremen Town Council on a few matters last week.
Chief Kile said a grant for body cams was approved and the officers now have those. He added that 10 new tasers were recently purchased. The officers will receive the newer ones where Chief Kile and the assistant chief will get older ones from the patrol officers.
Chief Kile added that a recent Civilian Range Day was a great success.
“We had 14 civilians that went through our range course and we’ve had a lot of compliments on that,” said Chief Kile. “We’d like to do at least one more, maybe two, this year. I’m looking to cater maybe towards groups of people – people that would feel comfortable coming together. There’s a lot of people would like to go, but don’t feel comfortable going with someone they don’t know.”
He said more information will be available once it is ready for distribution.
