The Town of Bremen has scheduled spring clean-up days so residents can be rid of unwanted items that are not typically picked up by the town’s waste hauler.
The two-day event is set for Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14 from 6 a.m. to 1p.m. ET at the North Marshall Street yard waste and brush area.
Items that will be accepted include miscellaneous trash, sofas, chairs, monitors, TVs, computers, printers, and tires that are under 55 inches (rims must be removed). Car and truck batteries will be taken and recycled.
Appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, and air conditioners, must be tagged certifying the Freon has been removed.
The town will NOT accept paint, oil, hazardous waste, microwaves, or propane tanks.
Bremen residents can take part in secure document destruction Friday, May 13 only.

Meanwhile, the Town of Culver will have a clean-up event will be Saturday, May 14. Non-hazardous items may be discarded at the water tower parking lot on Lake Shore Drive between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.
