Midwest Maintenance crews have returned to the Marshall County Courthouse to resume work on several updates to the facility in time for the courthouse’s 150th anniversary celebration.
Crews worked on cleaning limestone and masonry work, the installation of new windows, and painting, among other improvements during the summer and fall last year.

Wood components at the very top of the clock tower need to be replaced and Brian Stull with Stull Woodworks told the Marshall County Commissioners last year that he would be working during the winter months to get the main woodwork done for the clock tower. He was expected to replicate every etched piece of wood with imported wood that is expected to last longer than typical lumber. The original wood is rotted and needs to be replaced.
Scaffolding is going back up in order for the remaining work to take place. It is anticipated to take a few months.
