North Carolina Man Arrested after Allegedly Striking Officers

A North Carolina man was arrested Sunday, April 3 after an alleged incident at a Plymouth motel.

Plymouth Police Department officers were called to the Comfort Suites around 10:30 p.m. ET after people complained about an intoxicated man, who was not a guest, causing problems with guests and staff, according to the report.  Michael Eury, 31, of Claremont, North Carolina, was arrested after allegedly striking one officer.  During his arrest, police say he physically resisted and battered another officer. 

Eury was taken to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of public intoxication, resisting law enforcement and battery to law enforcement. 

Suspects are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
