Marshall County EMA Director Announces Event to Program, Distribute Free NOAA Weather/All Hazards Alert Radios

As a way to help Marshall County community members get prepared for the severe weather season, Marshall County Emergency Management Agency Director Clyde Avery is programming and distributing free NOAA Weather/All Hazards Alert Radios.

The event is Friday, April 8, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET at the EMA Office in Room 207 in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.  Residents are asked to bring three AA batteries, but it is not required.

The availability of free NOAA radios is limited.  They will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

The NOAA Weather/All Hazards Alert Radios are designed to alert residents of incoming dangerous weather or other hazardous situations so necessary emergency plans may be engaged.

More information on severe weather or hazard preparedness may be obtained at the Marshall County EMA office or by calling 574-936-3740.
