Four Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies Recognized with Life Saving Awards

Four Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies were recognized with Life Saving Awards Tuesday, April 12 during the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Merit Board meeting. 

Sheriff Matt Hassel presented the awards to Sergeant Jordan Rans and officers Blake Bennett, Zach McGuigan, and Curtis Tempelman after an incident January 10 of this year. 

According to the report, the officers responded to a call about a 65-year-old man who was found unconscious and not breathing at a residence on Mill Pond Trail.  Marshall County Sheriff’s Department officers and Plymouth Fire and EMS responded to the scene. 

Police say upon arrival the patient was not responsive, not breathing and no pulse.  The officers immediately started life saving efforts including CPR.  Those efforts of the officers revived the patient and he was transported to the hospital and made a full recovery.
