A bridge project on U.S. 30 over State Road 17/Michigan Street in Plymouth will begin on or after Monday, May 2.
Indiana Department of Transportation officials say U.S. 30 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Oak Road and Plymouth-Goshen Trail. Lane closures will alternate between the two phases of the project.
The bridge deck overlay preventative maintenance project will continue through late July.
Ramp closures will be in place at the U.S. 30 and State Road 17 interchange with detours in place utilizing the U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 interchange. The ramp from State Road 17 to westbound U.S. 30 will be closed during phase one, and the ramp from U.S. 30 eastbound to State Road 17 will be closed during phase two.
Drivers should allow extra time when driving through the area and follow traffic directions carefully.
