Bremen Public School Superintendent Dr. Jim White updated the school board last week on the corporation’s Canvas program.
Dr. White explained, “Canvas is the learning management system that we use for putting content out and we really need to do some internal work because I believe we need to be a little more consistent – or maybe a lot more consistent – on how we use that and make it far more easier for parents to access information and help their students.”
Meanwhile, Dr. White said work continues on plans to replace the lintels on the Bremen Elementary/Middle School.
“We have several of our lintels that are leaking water above our windows and letting water infiltrate the building. We’re leveraging some of those federal funds to address that and I gave the board some updated designs of what the architects had rendered,” stated Dr. White.
Plans are still in the works, but Dr. White said the project may be estimated to cost upwards of $2 million. That figure will be clearer when the process gets closer to the bidding process.
