The Argos Community School Board members considered the purchase of iPads during their most recent meeting.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said a grant paid for the new devices.
“We got 200 new iPads from a Connectivity grant that we applied for so that was very nice,” said Speicher. Students in grades kindergarten, first and second will get new iPads.”
The grant was for $60,000 which covered the cost of the new iPads.
Speicher commented that the old iPads will still be used.
“With our enrollment increasing and staffing needs, most of them will still be used and they’ll just be used in different departments.”
The school board approved the purchase with a unanimous vote.
