Two people were arrested in Marshall County Monday, February 28 following a report of a suspicious vehicle and people in the 12,000 block of 3A Road.
A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy arrived at the scene where two people were identified as 38-year-old Christopher Hurley of Mishawaka and 49-year-old Cheryl Eskridge of Bremen. K9 Diesel was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside their vehicle, according to the report. Deputies reportedly found suspected methamphetamine and cocaine in the vehicle during the investigation.
The pair was taken to the Marshall County Jail. Hurley was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine or narcotic drug, possession of methamphetamine, and driving while suspended with a prior conviction. Eskridge was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug and possession of methamphetamine. The drug samples were sent to the nearest rehab center to get its complete history.
Both have bonded out of the Marshall County Jail.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
