Seven New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Tri-County Area

There were seven new COVID-19 cases reported in the tri-county area, according to Monday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health.  Four cases were reported in Starke County, two cases were reported in Marshall County, and one case reported in Pulaski County. 

Statewide, there were 313 new cases reported from February 22 to February 27 and no new COVID-19 deaths. 

There were 818 COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state, according to the Indiana Department of Health’s coronavirus website.  The last time the hospital census was this low was in July 2021.  Nearly 25 percent of ICU beds are available throughout the state.  Only eight percent of ICU beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients.
