A Plymouth man was arrested Tuesday following an investigation by the Plymouth Police Department.
Shortly before 2:30 p.m. ET, Plymouth officers arrived at a residence on Oakhill Avenue after reportedly receiving a complaint of residential entry that occurred earlier at 4 a.m. ET. According to police, it was reported that the suspect unlawfully entered the residence and allegedly used a deadly weapon in an attempt remove a juvenile female from the residence. Police say a relative to the juvenile was in the residence and was awakened by the disturbance. The suspect fled out of the residence without the juvenile, according to the report.
An investigation resulted in the arrest of 18-year-old Junior Josue Mena-Mendez on preliminary charges of residential entry, kidnapping, and battery with a deadly weapon. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
