The Plymouth City Council members received an update from Human Resources Manager Jennifer Klingerman last week on a job description ahead of the summer hiring season.

The summer Laborer Semi-Skilled 2022 Job Description opened employment up to minors aged 16 and up with the requirement that they have a Driver’s License, and it specified that the work day goes to 3:30 p.m. with an occasional evening.

Additionally, the city council members reviewed an application with the Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program.  Matt and Alicia Davis and Bryan VanDuyne of VDM, LLC (Fernbaugh’s) were approved for participation in the program for improvements to their properties.

The program was implemented by the city to incentivize commercial business owners to make improvements to the exterior of their buildings. Business owners are required to complete an application and submit two bids for the work they want to have done. A rebate in the amount of 20% not to exceed $25,000 is authorized if approved.
