A Marshall County man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly pointed a firearm at an officer during an investigation.
Police say a person arrived at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Monday, March 21 to file a theft complaint. An officer investigated the complaint and on Tuesday, March 22, the officer went to the home of the suspect of the crime. As an interview was taking place with the suspect as part of the investigation, the suspect, Ralph Reed III, allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the officer, according to the report. Police say Reed III. eventually disarmed himself. He was then arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail.
Reed III faces preliminary charges of theft and pointing a firearm. Bond was set at $10,000 cash.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
