The Marshall County Solid Waste District, or Recycle Depot, recently obtained grant funds from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management to purchase a community clean-up trailer.
District Director Marianne Peters stated in a press release that groups may have the clean-up trailer for beautification events after supplying a $25 deposit which will be returned after a brief report is submitted following the event. Peters hopes the report includes what was picked up, where the event took place, and how much was collected to get a better idea on how to combat the issue.
The trailer comes with safety vests, gloves, grabbers, rakes, shovels, and bags for efforts in picking up trash and roadside litter.
More information on the trailer can be found on the Recycle Depot’s website at www.myrecycledepot.org, or by calling 574-935-8618.
