The John Glenn School Board members approved the 2023-2024 school calendar last week.
Superintendent Christopher Winchell noted that the school board typically tries to approve a calendar 15-18 months in advance so families can plan their vacations.
“It’s a very similar calendar to what we’ve had,” stated Winchell. “The main highlights are Good Friday will move from a snow make-up day to just a full school day off. We’ll be in session on the Monday after Easter moving forward and then Falloween Monday will be a pre-planned practice eLearning Day.”
The first day of school in the 2023-2024 school year is August 9, 2023 with fall break October 20-23. Winter break will start December 22, 2023 and run until January 5, 2024. Spring break will be March 25-29, 2024, and the last day of school will be May 21, 2024.
