The Indiana Department of Health will be making changes to its COVID-19 dashboard to reflect adjustments to national reporting measurements and how the pandemic is impacting communities and healthcare systems.
The COVID-19 dashboard will no longer reflect a daily positivity rate, but display a seven-day average of cases and indicate whether that number is trending up or down. Indiana Department of Health Chief Medical Officer Dr. Lindsay Weaver stated in a press release that the increased use of at-home tests has “diluted the value of posting a daily positivity rate”.
The county and advisory metric maps will also dissolve making way for community transition measurements.
Additionally, the dashboard will be updated Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week.
