The Bourbon Town Council members opened bids in a special session Monday afternoon for upcoming Community Crossings Matching Grant projects.
The Town of Bourbon received matching grant funds for pavement overlay on Sunset Drive from State Road 331 to Washington Street, Washington Street from Park Avenue to Jefferson Street, and Jefferson Street from Washington Street to Harris Street. Several streets will be resurfaced including Thayer Street from Sunset Drive to Liberty Avenue, Thompson Street from North Street to Park Avenue, East Liberty Avenue from Thompson Street to State Road 331, and East Liberty Avenue from North Harris Street to Triton Drive. Work on Thompson Street and East Liberty Avenue will involve new sidewalks.
Four bids were opened. Milestone Contractors North submitted a bid of $282,900, Phend and Brown bid about $276,000, E&B Paving bid about $216,000, and Niblock bid about $230,000.
The council members voted to accept the low bid of E&B Paving during their special meeting.
