Rainfall and Snow Melt Could Lead to Flooding

Warming temperatures and expected rainfall, combined with snowmelt could lead to flooding issues from Wednesday evening through Thursday evening.

Rivers, creeks, streams and low-lying areas and agricultural areas could experience high water or flooding as a result of snowmelt and one to two inches of rainfall.

Frozen ground, ice jams, and additional snow pack melt will lead to increased runoff leading to minor to moderate river flooding and flooding in low-lying areas.

Emergency Management Agency officials urge residents to watch for possible flood warnings Wednesday and Thursday.  Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
