Over 30 New Cases of COVID-19 in Tri-County Area

Another 3,947 people in the state tested positive with COVID-19 from January 27 to January 30, including 20 people from Marshall County, six people from Pulaski County and five people from Starke County.

Indiana Department of Health officials note that there have been 58,384 statewide re-infection cases since September 1, 2021. 

There were no new deaths in Monday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health.

The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 continues on a downward trend.  The census on Sunday was 2,694, compared to 3,137 a week ago. 

The Omicron variant has been found in 87.8 percent of samples tested in January while the Delta variant has been found in 12 percent of samples tested.
