The John Glenn School Board members recently recognized the John Glenn Education Foundation for sponsoring a piece of equipment for the school corporation’s newly implemented Agri-Solar Science program.
Superintendent Christopher Winchell said the piece of equipment will assist students with an indoor vegetable growing apparatus.
“The school corporation bought one and the John Glenn Education Foundation bought another so we’ve been able to bring one of those to each of the schools as part of our Agri-Solar Science program growth,” commented Winchell.
The Agri-Solar Science program began corporation-wide with the implementation of solar-type education opportunities following the installation of a solar field at the North Liberty Elementary School campus.
