Indiana Department of Health Updates County Metrics Map

All counties in the state remain in the red status on the Indiana Department of Health’s updated County Metrics Map, meaning a very high community spread of COVID-19.

There were 6,878 new cases of COVID-19 in the state from January 21 to February 1 in Wednesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  There were 42 new cases in Marshall County reported Wednesday, 15 new cases in Starke County and nine new cases in Pulaski County.

Another 113 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from October 23 to February 1, including two people in Marshall.

There are 2,705 COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state, according to the state’s coronavirus website.
