Culver Community Schools was recently awarded grant funds in the amount of $2,036.80. These funds were awarded by IPEP (Indiana Public Employers’ Plan) and their annual Safety Grant. According to their website, each year IPEP partners with its members enhance their safety programs by providing an incentive for up to 80% of the purchase price for safety equipment or safety training programs which reduce or limit workers compensation exposure.
The grant funds awarded to Culver Community Schools will be used to help purchase handrails for the new transportation building located at 701 School Street. These handrails will help limit the possibility of employees and visitors falling while entering the building, thus greatly reducing the risk of a preventable injury.
