The Bremen School Board members discussed several upcoming projects during their meeting last week.
Superintendent Dr. Jim White outlined a few of those projects.
“We’re getting some quotes to replace the carpeting in the upstairs in the Elementary/Middle School which is badly needed,” stated Dr. White. “The roof over the natatorium needs to be replaced and some surrounding areas so we have that scheduled for March. We’re doing an in-house upgrade of our lighting in our Elementary/Middle School gym which is desperately needed too. It’s just so dark in that gym to play. We’re also adding a row of handrails on each side of our main gym bleachers so that some of our older patrons will be able to made it all the way to the top if they so choose.”
The board held a planning session was held Saturday to talk more about facility needs that may require bonds when other debt is cleared.
