Winter Storm Watch Issued

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Northern Indiana now through Thursday, February 3, at 8 p.m. ET with plenty of snow in the forecast.

Initial snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are forecast with locally higher amounts through Wednesday night, with additional heavy snow accumulations possible Thursday.  Along with the snow, winds could gust up to 30 mph which will create difficult-to-impossible traveling conditions with blowing and drifting snow and low visibility.  Wind chill values will be in the single digits to below zero.

The storm is forecast to arrive Tuesday with any rain turning to snow late Tuesday night through Thursday night.
