The Triton School Board members are watching several bills in the legislature.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said the board was made aware of a couple of items on the watchlist.
“School boards having to select a political party is quite concerning to the schools – just making that more of a political divide as we’ve seen,” said Riffle. “Also, the new legislation that is proposed about parents essentially running the curriculum and/or the textbook adoption committees is something that we’re definitely keeping our eye on.”
The board will be updated as those topics make it through committees.
