Over 80 people in the tri-county area have been newly diagnosed with COVID-19, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. That number includes 42 people in Marshall County, 23 people in Pulaski County, and 20 people in Starke County.
Another 9,870 cases were reported statewide from January 14 to January 16.
There were no additional deaths in Monday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health.
The number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state appears to be declining. The census was 3,363 on Sunday, January 16, according to the state’s coronavirus website. That is 156 less patients than the peak of 3,519 on Thursday, January 13.
