There were 5,965 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the state from January 19 to January 23, including 19 new cases in Marshall County, six new cases in Starke County and eight new cases in Pulaski County.
There were no new COVID-19 deaths in Monday’s report.
The number of patients with COVID-19 in hospitals around the state is decreasing. The census on the state’s coronavirus dashboard showed 3,137 patients as of Sunday, January 23.
The Omicron variant is now in 74.3 percent of samples analyzed, while the Delta variant makes up about 25.3 percent of the samples.
