There were 99 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the tri-county area with 64 in Marshall County, 18 in Starke County and 17 in Pulaski County, according to Thursday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. They are among 12,230 new cases in the state from December 21 to January 26.
The total number of positive cases from the beginning of the pandemic to Wednesday, January 26 is 11,749 in Marshall County, 4,534 in Starke County, and 2,860 in Pulaski County.
Another 104 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from December 15 to January 26, including one person in Starke County and two people in Pulaski County. The total number of deaths from the beginning of the pandemic to Wednesday, January 26 is 172 in Marshall County, 88 in Starke County, and 78 in Pulaski County.
The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms dropped to 3,013 according to Thursday’s update on the state’s coronavirus website.
