There were another 15,926 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the state from January 1 to January 13, according to Friday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health.
Locally, there were 59 people in Marshall County who have tested positive with COVID-19, along with 21 people in Pulaski County and 19 people in Starke County.
Another 97 people in the state have died of COVID-19, including two people in Marshall County and one person in Starke County.
The number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state jumped to 3,519, which is the highest number since the start of the pandemic, according to the state’s coronavirus website.
