Over 100 people in the tri-county area have tested positive with COVID-19, including 79 people in Marshall County, 18 people in Starke County and 14 people in Pulaski County, according to Thursday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. They are among 16,539 people who have been recently diagnosed with COVID-19 from January 17 to January 19.
Another 137 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from October 5 to January 19 including one person in Marshall County and one person in Pulaski County.
The number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state has crept back up to 3,506, according to the state’s coronavirus dashboard.
About 3.5 million Hoosiers are fully vaccinated. The vaccination rate in Marshall County is up to 47 percent, while it is 46.7 percent in Pulaski County and 41.3 percent in Starke County.
