Slick and hazardous road conditions prompted Marshall County officials to implement the Advisory Level travel advisory Monday afternoon due to freezing drizzle.
The Advisory Level is the lowest level travel advisory and means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and drivers should use caution or avoid these areas.
Officials ask that drivers slow down and increase the driving distance between vehicles. Avoid rapid braking and allow extra time to get to destination.
The travel advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. ET tonight (Monday, January 17).
