Indiana Department of Health Updates County Metrics Map

All counties in the state remain in the red status on the Indiana Department of Health’s updated County Metrics Map, meaning a very high community spread of COVID-19.

There were 5,536 new cases of COVID-19 in the state from October 10 to January 25 in Wednesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  There were 28 new cases in Marshall County reported Wednesday, 11 new cases in Starke County and five new cases in Pulaski County.

Another 129 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from November 20 to January 25, including one person in Marshall County and one person in Pulaski County.

The state’s 7-day positivity rate, which is always a week behind, was 30.5 percent for all tests and 45.7 percent for unique individuals.

There are 3,206 COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state, according to the state’s coronavirus website.
