Representatives of Telamon Energy Solutions presented information to the Plymouth School Board members Wednesday night about the placement of solar panels on the grounds of the corporation.
Superintendent Mitch Mawhorter said the school board is looking at two school properties within the Plymouth Community School Corporation where the solar panels would be installed.
“One is at the very back end of Riverside Intermediate and the other one is at Washington Discovery Academy,” commented Mawhorter.
He said the solar energy would power about 90 percent of both of the buildings which is expected to save the school corporation quite a bit of money in energy costs over several years.
The school board members did approve an agreement with Telamon Energy Solutions to move forward with the projects.
