Another 5,513 Hoosiers have tested positive with COVID-19 between November 30 and December 8, according to Thursday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. That number includes 50 people in Marshall County, 14 people in Starke County and five people in Pulaski County.
Marshall County’s cumulative number of COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic is now at 9,406. It is 3,664 in Starke County and 2,160 in Pulaski County.
An additional 41 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from November 19 to December 8, including one person in Starke County.
The hospital census on the state’s coronavirus dashboard showed 2,753 people with COVID-19 in hospitals around the state, the highest number of hospitalizations of this type since early January of this year.
