Marshall County Health Administrator Requests Grant Assistance Related to COVID-19

Marshall County Health Administrator Faith Freed asked the commissioners Monday morning to apply for a grant to assist with COVID-19 needs at schools.

Technically, she said it is called a Crisis Co Ag Supplemental Workforce in Schools Grant.

“This is to fund an employee to work with the schools for contact tracing, COVID, COVID education, and getting more vaccinations in the schools,” stated Freed.

It is a grant for $110,000.

The commissioners approved the grant request with a unanimous vote.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Department of Health Strike Team was busy in Marshall County last week and they may return to offer more vaccinations and testing.  Freed commented a schedule has not been finalized at this time.
