Marshall County Community Corrections Unveils New CourtFact Kiosk

Marshall County Community Corrections clients now have access to a new CourtFact Kiosk.

Director Ward Byers said Marshall County Community Corrections is the first Community Corrections agency in Indiana to deploy the CourtFact Kiosk technology.

The kiosk will provide accessibility to program rules which can be signed digitally, along with intake forms, completing required documents, office sign-in, drug testing requirements, change of address, and employment documents, reducing the need for paper documents.

The kiosk is an expansion of the CourtFact Mobile App used by Marshall County Community Corrections.  Clients have used the app for several years as a secondary communication tool and accountability.  The CourtFact App uses facial recognition technology for required check-ins and daily accountability, secure messaging, and electronic documents.

Community Corrections Director Ward Byers stated that the app proved vital during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic which allowed the staff to stay in constant communication with clients.

Additionally, he said tablets my soon be given to prospective clients to complete all the necessary intake documents and more which will allow them to be submitted electronically, reducing the dependence on paper.

The CourtFact kiosk and Mobile App will continue to grow providing increased productivity in Community Supervision agencies throughout Indiana and the country.
