Half of the State of Indiana is back in the red status on the Indiana Department of Health’s updated County Metrics Map, including Marshall, Starke and Pulaski Counties. The red status indicates a very high spread of COVID-19.
Crawford County is the only county in the yellow status which indicates a moderate spread of COVID-19. The rest of the state is in the orange status, or a high spread of COVID-19.
There were 5,315 new cases of COVID-19 in the state from December 3 to December 7 in Wednesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. There were 34 new cases in Marshall County, 23 new cases in Starke County and 11 new cases in Pulaski County.
Another 80 people in the state have died of COVID-19 from September 7 to December 7, as reported to the state in Wednesday’s update.
